On one of the windiest Mondays in October, Mint Hair Lounge of Port-Moody, opened their doors to the local community for their annual Coats for Cuts fundraiser in support of SHARE Family & Community Services. Mint stylists offered free hair cuts or brow waxes to anyone who donated a new or a gently worn winter coat. Donations went directly to low income Tri-Cities families in need of warmth this winter.
This event has become an popular and well-publicized event (BCIT Broadcast News as well as Snapd Coquitlam were in attendance) and this year, the crew collected almost 350 coats – how amazing!!
I really enjoy their creativity and the cause chosen but I need to admit that I also love my new hair cut 🙂
