The Celebration of Light is not only Vancouver’s biggest event, but it’s also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world and attracts up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening. Every year it’s a unique experience and this year was even more special to me as I got to share it with my family visiting from France. My mum who loved fireworks since I can’t remember, could not believe it – 30min of amazing fireworks, with thousands of people and all right by the pacific with the mountain on the background!! Looking at her gloaming eyes, I think this experience might have been “paradisiaque” and potentially a little overwhelming.
